About
I’m a technology leader with over 25 years of experience building, transforming, and scaling banking technology across Europe and Asia.
Currently, I serve as Managing Director and Group Head of Enterprise Architecture and Data/AI Platform at DBS Bank in Singapore. My team builds the platform that underpins data and AI capabilities across all of DBS’s business units — work that was recently the subject of a Harvard Business School case study and won the bank an award for “World’s Best AI Bank” from Global Finance.
Before my current role, I spent nearly two decades working across some of the biggest transformation programmes in banking:
- DBS Bank (2014–2016, 2020–present): First as Executive Director leading core banking technology, then returning as MD to build out the bank’s enterprise data and AI platform
- Nordea (2016–2020): Group Chief Business Architect, then Deputy Head of Core Banking Transformation — one of the largest core banking programmes in Europe
- Deutsche Bank (2006–2014): Various leadership roles in Invesment Banking IT, then moved to Transaction Banking IT to lead Core Banking and Billing
- Accenture (2000–2006): IT consulting, delivery leadership, and architecture across Europe
I write and speak about core banking transformation, enterprise architecture, data platforms, and — most recently — how agentic AI is reshaping financial services technology.
Beyond work
I’m Finnish, based in Singapore. When I’m not thinking about banking architecture, I’m sailing, running, reading, and trying to play golf and piano with varying degrees of success.
